Route the ride, not the destination

Choose where you want to go and how twisty you want the ride. ArcRoute finds the roads worth taking and guides you all the way there.

Every destination has a fast way there. ArcRoute finds the one worth riding: more bends, better roads, less of the boring stuff. You choose how twisty. Then just ride.

Features

More ride. Less hassle.

Six things that make a ride better: more bends, fewer glances at the screen, and a map of where you have been.

Ride the curves, not the traffic

Slide from Direct to Wild and the route bends toward the twisties between you and there. The motorway never wins by default.

Eyes on the road, not the screen

Banners you can read from the bars, distance to the turn, and a quiet reroute when you miss one. Nothing to dismiss with a glove.

Ride it again

Every ride records in the background, phone in your pocket. Save the good ones, replay them, ride them again next spring.

Watch your map come alive

Every road you ride glows a little brighter. After a season you can see where you have been, and where you have not.

Ride out. Ride back.

Pick a distance and a direction. You get a loop that ends where it started, a Sunday out without planning one.

Stop for coffee. Keep the route.

Gas, coffee and ice cream on the map. Tap a stop and it drops into the ride; the bends stay where they were.

Plan it. Ride it. Remember it.

Plan

Roads worth riding

Say how far out of the way the ride may go, from Direct to Wild. The route bends toward curves and scenery instead of the fastest way there.

  • Skip the dull bits. Highways, ferries and tolls off with a tap.
  • Stops on the way. Waypoints as full stops or ride-throughs.
  • Round trips. Pick a distance and a direction, get a loop back.

Ride

A glance, not a stare

Big maneuver banners and distance to the turn, readable from a bar mount through a visor. The road keeps your eyes; the screen only borrows them.

  • Missed a turn? It reroutes on its own. Nothing to dismiss.
  • No signal? Saved rides replay from your phone.
  • Need a stop? Gas, coffee and ice cream, one tap into the route.

Remember

Your season, on one map

Every kilometre you ride is recorded and map-matched into a heatmap of your own roads. Not a list of trips: the shape of where you ride.

  • Phone in your pocket. Recording keeps going in the background.
  • Ride it again. Save any ride and navigate it later.
  • Brighter every time. The more you ride a road, the more it glows.

Started in Czechia. Now across the Alps.

ArcRoute started with the roads we knew best. Today every drivable road in twelve regions is scored for curvature, the whole network and not just the famous passes, so the router can find the bends nobody has written up yet.

Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Poland and Germany end to end, then Switzerland, Slovenia and Liechtenstein, then northern Italy and the French Alps, two regions apiece, where the Dolomites, the Stelvio and the Grandes Alpes are.

FAQ

Questions riders ask

Straight answers from the person who built it. If yours is not here, the support page has the rest, and an email gets a real reply.

All questions and support →

Why not just use Google or Apple Maps?

They are built to end the journey: fastest road, which on a bike means the motorway, and no way to ask for bends. ArcRoute routes by how good the road is and keeps every ride you took.

Does it work without a signal?

Partly. A saved ride replays from your phone, line and spoken turns included. Planning a new route and rerouting need a connection, and the map only shows tiles already loaded.

Does it speak directions out loud?

Yes, in English and Czech, through helmet speakers over Bluetooth with the screen locked. It is generated on the phone, so it works offline as far as a saved ride does.

Can I import a GPX route?

Yes. Import a .gpx from Mapy.cz, Komoot or a GPS unit and ride it with full guidance. Imported routes stay out of your heatmap until you have actually ridden them.

Do I need an account?

Yes, with Sign in with Apple, so there is no password to invent and you can hide your email. The account is what syncs your rides and heatmap across devices.

What does ArcRoute cost?

A monthly or annual subscription through the App Store, with seven days free for new subscribers. The prices above are Apple’s own, VAT included; Apple shows your exact price before you confirm.
