Every general-purpose navigation app is optimized to end the journey as soon as possible. That is the opposite of why you got the bike.

FAQ

Questions riders ask

Is ArcRoute available yet?

Not yet. The app is in active development and testing, and it is coming to the App Store for iPhone. Write to petr@arcroute.app if you want a nudge when it lands, or want in as an early rider.

Does it work without a signal?

Partly. Planning a new route needs a connection, because routing is computed on ArcRoute’s own routing server. Once a ride is saved, it replays from data stored on your phone — so a dead signal out in the hills does not strand you mid-ride.

Do I need an account?

Yes — ArcRoute uses Sign in with Apple, so there is no separate password to invent. You can use Apple’s Hide My Email relay if you prefer not to share your real address. The account is what keeps your rides and heatmap synced across devices.

What data does ArcRoute collect?

What the app needs to work: your rides, planned routes and precise location while you are navigating or recording — including in the background during an active ride. Your rides and heatmap are yours; they are never sold and never used for third-party advertising. The Privacy Policy lists every provider involved.

Is there an Android version?

No. ArcRoute is built natively for iPhone and there is no Android version planned right now. If that changes, it will be announced here first.

Can I use it for cars, bicycles or hiking?

Nothing stops you, but every decision in ArcRoute is made for motorcycles — the routing bias toward curves, the glanceable navigation screen, the bar-mount-first layout. A car driver would find it takes the scenic long way for no reason. That is the point.
